The HIV infections went up by 15.76% with 191 new diagnoses in 2014 compared to 165 cases the previous year. The county had the 7th highest HIV infections in the state of Florida. Out of all the HIV infections in the county 73% were males. Those in the 20-29 age group were the most affected by HIV infections accounting for 30% of the total cases in 2015. The most affected racial group were whites accounting for 69% of the HIV diagnoses. AIDS cases were highest among men who have sex with men
